The Bamberg County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina charged a 28-year-old man after he allegedly killed his girlfriend and tried to burn her inside a car.
South Carolina Man Was Arrested for Fatally Killing His Girlfriend
The Bamberg County Sheriff’s Office said that they arrested and charged a 28-year-old South Carolina man, identified as Jarrett Davis, for allegedly shooting and killing his 25-year-old girlfriend, Megan Bodiford. It was first reported that the woman went missing and was last seen on April 25 in Denmark, South Carolina.
In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, investigators found that the woman texted her friend before the fatal incident happened. They also discovered a burned car off of Turn Ray Road, where the human remains were found, but they could not yet possibly confirm if this belongs to Bodiford.
Charges Filed Against the South Carolina Man
Police authorities immediately filed the following charges against to the South Carolina man:
- Murder
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
- Unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony offense
- Third-degree arson
- Desecration of human remains
Furthermore, the 4-month-old baby of Bodiford was found unharmed and is now under the custody of a family member.
